few days ago, we prepared for the upcoming chinese oral test and she asked a student who get to do the test a day before us, the conversation started this way :
teacher , ' so how's the test, can we read the text that we've wrote?'
student, ' no ( in a very soft voice that you could merely not hear ), but you also can read a text..."
(before the student could finished) teacher , ' so you can read the text you've wrote, well then, just practice reading'
what the student meant to say was,' ....can read the text given by the teacher' so it turns out, our oral test didn't really go well, although we've got a score good enough- but not good enough if only the teacher would told us to memorize the story. anyway, the student don't really try hard to explain what * was trying to say, * thought it's a joke or something (because * have done the test and got a good score, * have nothing to worry about)
there is two reason why she would do this:
1. she is old enough to misunderstood
2. she's not patient enough to let the student finish * explanation
i don't blame her for anything, it's just a common mistake everybody does.
the note is, let someone finish the explanation, before you misunderstood.
